After contemplating the fact that I will stay and work overseas, I decided to get a laptop. I originally intended to buy an Acer, but the salesperson said that the type I wanted to buy wasn't that good for graphic design. And so, the person suggested a Vaio.
I was rather skeptical that I wanted to buy it since Vaio is usually expensive here (above US$1.000?), so I just checked it out out of curiosity only. However, there was only one of a particular style left and it's an ex-display, so the person was willing to give me an additional 10% to the already-existing 5% discount, and I FINALLY BOUGHT IT FOR AROUND US$850!!!!! XD
I did see cheaper ones on the net, but they're sold in the US, and the S&H fee will be ridiculous, not to mention all those taxes... -_-; so I'm grateful I can get this one! XD
I upgraded the memory to 3GB and then bought an additional pink USB mouse and screen protector (can't find the gel-thing for keyboard and they don't sell the wipe nor cleaner). And I still need to create the back-up DVDs and install some programs... I hope this the specs of my Vaio CS are enough for all those side-jobs and activities with multimedia softwares... n_n;
Any suggestion on how to use and take care of a Vaio laptop, especially from a particular someone whom I know own a Vaio as well (heh), is appreciated, since I'm a real newbie at this... Thanks! I will love this new notebook of mine (along with my beloved Wacom pen tablet) with all my heart~ #^w^#
